140,000 people
Greetings once again! We continually thank God for each of you who continue to support our work in Latin American Church Planting. After much work, prayer, and fasting, we are seeing God open doors in several regions. For this letter, I want to highlight work in Lima Peru.
On a recent trip, I had the joy and privilege of traveling to Lima and continuing working with our national brothers and sisters in Christ. It is a joy to continue to support, encourage, and help equip the team in Lima that is actively working towards church planting there. If you have followed these reports for any length of time, you can note that this is a continued update of the work, already at hand.
During last winter, the Engage network of Churches in Iowa gave generously to support the work of a future church plant. It was a joy to be able to help process all of the nuances of an international funds transfer that took place this year. From there, there have been ongoing support as we continue to pour into the team in Lima, and the lead church planting pastor, Jorge.

In late October/ November, it was a joy to spend the last leg of my journey in Lima, connecting with the team, helping with clarity of vision, assessing the probable location of the future plant, and encouraging the church as they closed out their missions conference with a focus on local missions and church planting.

Since returning, we have greater clarity in how to continue the work of actively equipping for what will be the launch of a healthy, gospel-centered church plant.
Let me give you the highlights in the form of prayer requests.
1. Pray the church gain great clarity in the timing of this future launch.
2. That God firm up and confirm the location. The frontrunner is a district of 140,000 people with only 2 known small gospel churches at present. That is a 1 to 70,000 people ratio!
3. That God raise up a replacement for Jorge in the existing work.
4. That the Lord begin confirming the location with early fruit. Some salvation studies are already starting.
5. That the Lord use us to continue encouraging and equipping this work, praying for and fasting over a healthy launch to come.
All of these details are in the Lord’s hands. Pray with us, that he would make clear what is not presently clear. That we would patiently wait while diligently working. May He receive all of the glory, great things He has done.
