Almost there!

I hope you are opening this letter and are thankful today for the many ways God has blessed you.  God has truly blessed us. In Jan of 2020, we officially kicked off our fund-raising efforts, and God has been so good to see us through.  We have worked hard to connect our ministry to Peru with others and be connected ourselves to the ministry of others.  In so doing, we have met some amazing servants of God who are passionate about reaching their local areas.  People who give of their time, talents, and treasure to see Jesus lifted high in their community.  Recently, I met with a Pastor who is walking through some tough waters with his church, not knowing if God is calling him to walk the hard road to church purity and restoration or if God is nudging him to move to a healthier ministry where he can thrive with his family. As we spoke, I was so encouraged at his attitude. He just wants to walk whatever road God wanted him to.  Even when the results are not clear, and the future is uncertain.

Isn’t that so many of us as believers in Christ? We walk by faith, trusting that God has a plan in all of it, so we confidently and in faith take the next step.

As Debbie and I seek to take the next steps in our ministry, I ask you continue to pray for us and with us.  We believe there is light at the end of the tunnel in regards to raising our needed support base.  We need to raise an additional $2000.00 per month before we can leave the country. $2000 per month seems like a lot but its really not.  God could raise that up in a moment and we are excited to see how He does it. Will it be one or two organizations or another handful of churches? Will it be another 20 more individuals? Will it be an army of people at $5 per month?  We don’t know.  What we do know is that God has called us to faithfully share our ministry and trust in Him with all we have. We also know that there is a small army of people (49) and churches (11) who support our ministry currently and there are a number who are on the fence about supporting church planting in Peru.

Debbie and I still seek opportunities to share the Gospel as we go. Please pray for a young man named Ethan who I am actively sharing Jesus with.

Pray for our family as we sense a move coming up sooner rather than later.

Pray for Peru as even this month there was one missionary couple who moved off the field and another missionary family who suffered a debilitating blow as the wife died during a home invasion. Pray for that family’s comfort in their time of grief.

God is working in Peru. Make no mistake that we do not believe God is leading us to all sunshine and rainbows. He is leading us to a dark place to cast light. We need not be afraid of burn out, political turmoil, disease, or death. The Lord has placed us on a path that we are compelled to walk and are ready to joyfully do so.
